Who We Are

Giving Back

At PureSpirIT, we believe that individual success is a collective effort.

We are proud to collaborate on a number of community-based initiatives geared towards post-secondary education, land-based learning, health and wellness, and reconciliation.
It is not just our duty, but our honour to rise to the Truth and Reconciliation Committee’s 92nd Call To Action, which calls upon the corporate sector to Incorporate the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous People into corporate policy, as well as to enable long-term and sustainable economic growth through access to training, education, and employable skills.

Algonquin College

We believe that when higher education becomes more accessible and attainable, everyone benefits. That’s why PureSpirIT is committed to supporting education and lifelong learning in our communities for indigenous students.

In partnership with Algonquin College PureSpirIT has established a bursary fund to help make it possible for students in technology, marketing and communications, computer science and related disciplines from First Nations and Metis communities to achieve their goals attaining quality, higher-level education.

Focus Forward for Indigenous Youth

Focus Forward provides Indigenous youth with experiential learning opportunities to cultivate career and life skills by working on trades and land-based projects, including tiny homes, greenhouses, community centres, and more.

Throughout the programs, youth gain hands-on work experience, earn high school credits and apprenticeship hours and receive a compensation package, all while creating a positive impact for their community. They walk away with new life-skills, an understanding of their own abilities, and a sense of confidence that will help them focus forward on a positive and engaged future.

Masters Indigenous Games

The Masters Indigenous Games is a unique competitive sporting event, targeting global Indigenous athletes aged 19 and up who have aged out of standard competitive sport. The Games bring together thousands of Indigenous athletes from around the world to compete in sport competitions, celebrate Indigenous wellness and showcase the rich diversity of cultures and traditions of the world’s Indigenous Peoples.

The Masters Indigenous Games are founded on the belief that sport and culture have the power to change lives, improve well being, and provide opportunities for personal and community wellness.

Moose Hide Campaign

Moose Hide Campaign is a grassroots movement engaging Indigenous men and boys in a holistic and shame-free approach to ending gender-based and domestic violence. Rooted in Indigenous ceremony and traditional healing, Moose Hide Campaign utilizes sacred medicines – the moose hide pin – as the cornerstone of their initiative. By wearing the Moose Hide Pin, participants signify their commitment to honouring, respecting, and protecting the women, girls, and children in their lives from this ongoing crisis.

To date, over five million moose hide pins have been distributed free of charge to communities, schools, and workplaces across Canada.
